Fort Simon takes two gold medals at Michelangelo International Awards

The Michelangelo International Wine Awards was created in 1997 by Lorraine Immelaman, a wine lover and marketing/public relations consultant who identified a need for an international competition with judges from abroad and only one local judge. The aim was to identify wines that would do well internationally. During the first 15 years a total of 150 judges from 36 countries served on the panels

Fort Simon Wine Estate recognised twice in a row at the 5th Annual Terroir Awards.

After a record 239 entries in 2010, which have grown from 151 five year ago, which is relatively high, considering the very strict wine of origin rules that are applied in this competition making it an expression of our top Terroir wins.
